My family and I stayed at this Marriott from 11/3/17-11/9/17. We were there for bereavement for the loss of a family member. Initially our stay was great, the front office staff (Hannah in particular) were very helpful and friendly. We had our room cleaned over the weekend without issue. The hotel itself needs updating and is not the cleanest but it was sufficient. On the Wednesday (11/8) before we left, we returned to the hotel in the late evening. Neither of our room keycards would work in the side door entrance (which had been working all week) and our room had not been fully cleaned. There were dirty towels left all over the room, and the trash had not been taken out. The beds were made but that was it. We also had items missing from our room including a brand new sweater with tags still on it. I called the manager who assured me that the matter would be investigated and I was told that the last night of our stay would be refunded since it was left in such a mess. It is now 11/27, I have called and left several messages with management and no one will call me back. I have yet to be refunded the last day of stay and I have yet to get the call back I was promised after they investigated about the missing items from our room. I am hurt and extremely disappointed in the lack of response. We were there for heartbreaking circumstances and believe we deserve better. I will be contacting corporate and will not be staying at this hotel again. I go to VA often to see my family and this will no longer be an option for us.
Nice hotel. Swimming pool and workout facility. Restaurants and shopping center nearby and easy access to 95. We have stayed at this hotel for the past 2 years during our annual trip to Kings Dominion. Will recommend @
Room was pretty standard for a springhill suit, clean and quiet. We were only there for a night so didn't get to use the accommodations, (pool/gym etc.). Location was convenient, near highway. Wish the water pressure in the bathroom had been better but not much they could do about that. Breakfast was very busy when we went but staff was doing their best to keep up and make it look nice and keep it stocked. All and all for our purposes as quick overnight guests it was perfectly satisfactory.
SpringHill SUITES by Marriott seems to be very consistent with good service and good clean rooms no matter what locale you find one. This particular time, the hot tub went out and that was the Debbie Downer on my trip but overall everything else was great.
Fantastic stay at the Springhill suites!! Mr Booker, the GM was absolutely amazing and made use feel so welcome. The room was super clean and comfortable. We stayed an extra night just because it was so nice. Every person that worked there took time to say hello and wish a good day. The pool and other facilities where clean and inviting. The breakfast was on point as well. Close to anything you may need absolutely stay in this hotel!!! Can I get a sixth
