I had a very pleasant experience at the store, I am a beginner and the salesperson Becky could not have been more helpful. There was no pressure sale just a pleasant knowledgeable conversation and a great pair of shoes.
Visited the store today, left with a pair of new running shoes, as that's what I went for. It was a pleasant experience. I talked with two staff members regarding my running habits, and other sports activities. To gauge my needs in terms of fit, I was asked to stand without shoes, both on two feet and on one foot (once for each foot), walk forward backward, and run the length of the store multiple times (not far - maybe 40 feet). I did the same (except the initial standing without shoes) with each of the three pairs of shoes I tried, as well as with my current shoes. Took about 20 minutes total. They have a treadmill there too, but I wasn't asked to run on it. No pressure to buy anything else, or the pair of shoes for that matter. So far I'm happy. Will see how it goes with the new shoes. Five stars since I've got no complaints, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable (or at least more knowledgeable than me when it comes to running shoes).
Expensive. Snooty employees.
