Can't say enough great things about Northbrook Auto sales, staff and Ownership! Tom and staff made it fun, easy, affordable and quick to purchase my used Honda!

Steve, Greg, and the other colleagues at Northbrook Auto were great to do business with. All along we felt they were knowledgeable, helpful, straightforward, and quick to respond to our needs. They treated us fairly and right. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this auto dealership to anyone looking for a great vehicle and wonderful service.

I have never felt it necessary to write a review-this is my first. Really want to save others some trouble.

DON'T TRUST THEM. TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE. HAVE A WELL KNOWN MECHANIC LOOK IT OVER. THEY DON'T CARE WHAT IT DOES ONCE IT LEAVES THE LOT. If we weren't an active duty military family, unfamiliar with that area, we would have taken it to someone we trusted-just didn't have that option.

It was so easy I referred my daughter to Northbrook and she came from South Carolina to find her recent Ford used car purchase.

Don't fall for these peoples traps! Just because a car looks clean and shiny doesn't mean there is nothing mechanically wrong with it. Do your research and get an experienced mechanic to check out a car you're interested in. Overall, they are DISHONEST, lazy, won't try to work with you, and very unprofessional. Glad we took our hard-earned money somewhere else and bought a 2007 Toyota Sequoia Limited with WORKING rear entertainment system, Navigation System, Leather seats, and LOWER mileage in excellent conditions for $11,449 and they paid our left over lien on our trade-in!

Wow, I am thoroughly impressed by this place. Not only were they friendly and gave us an awesome deal with zero pressure to buy, they also had our backs when our vehicle narrowly failed MD inspection. They told us to bring it back to them and they replaced the part that day at a fraction of what the inspection station quoted us. Next time I buy a car, I will definitely be looking at Northbrook first!

The experience seemed pleasant and reasonable at the beginning of our dealings, but I can honestly say I have nothing but regrets about our purchase we made there in May of this year. Our previous vehicle was a Yukon XL that had just recently been totaled. We have 3 kids and needed something soon. We actually drove a couple of hours to this dealership to see the suburban (that we ended up buying). We don't do debt and pay cash for all of our vehicles, so to replace our newly totaled one, we had about $15,000 we were looking to spend. We were treated well on site and while we were hesitant about a totally cracked dash (common for this brand SUV)-they offered to not only replace the dash, but also to have the vehicle delivered, as my husband was going to be out of town and couldn't feasibly drive another 2 hours one way. This was a blessing (or seemed to be). Within days of our expired 30 day warranty (on only the transmission anyway) we took the vehicle to be looked at due to a loud squeaking and movement in the front. ONLY to see completely and totally rusted and corroded sway bars and links NOT EVEN ATTACHED. I had just driven it 500 miles with my 3 children in tow. NOT ACCEPTABLE! It was very obvious that it had been oiled over to keep from becoming an issue the buyer would find. In the same trip we had to replace the sway bars and links, both struts AND motor mount had to be replaced as well. After that, it showed that it needed a new alternator, among other various necessary systems needing cleaning. I called and spoke with someone in the office. They feigned concern and said they'd like to discuss these issues, but they were with a client at the time. NO surprise, they never called back. All in all, we have had to spend over $3,000 additionally on this "one owner, clean, well maintained" SUV.

We came to this dingy and dirty little dealership to see a 08 Toyota Sequoia Limited. I had previously given these people business as I helped a friend of mine purchase a nice truck here. Thought maybe they could help me out too. So we stopped by briefly to take a look at the Sequoia. First of all, when we came in, the sales guy steven told us to wait for a few minutes just so he can eat his yogurt, in front of us. It was awkward and unprofessional. Then when he finished, he finally gave us the keys so we can take a look at the Sequoia. Secondly, we noticed problems right away, the back up camera didn't work, two rear dvd players didn't work, there was no navigation system and there were scratches and dents on the exterior of the suv. We decided to let the minor scratches slide but the broken dvd players was a HUGE disappointment since we have three kids and this is supposed to be the Limited Edition. When we asked him about the dvd players he said from his understanding they were working but when we told him the screens were not working and the power buttons were pushed all the way in, he didn't seem to care. He didn't even offer a discount or mention that he will take a look at the problems. He just sat on his butt the whole time. Not even going to mention the offer on our trade-in. It was a joke! Car Max offered us more for our vehicle. Upon even further inspection on our second trip with our mechanic, he noticed there had been something mechanically wrong with the Toyota in the past. Something the sales people, such as dishonest steve obviously won't tell you. According to KBB the Toyota was priced too high ($13,998) for "excellent conditions" which is not. It's actually worth around $12,000 or less in "good" conditions.
